SHS Crew Erg ThROWdown
The Challenge:
Stonington High School and the Friends of Stonington Crew challenge members of the CPSRA to an erg competition.
The competition is for schools to bring their best men’s and women’s eight to compete as a team. Teams will row as a complete boat. The team with the lowest combined time for all eight rowers will be the winner.
The prize: Perpetual trophies will be awarded to the school whose team has the best time for men’s and for women’s eight - two trophies.
Location: the Mystic YMCA’s annual erg competition on February 28th.

The YMCA Erg Challenge is a popular, open to the public, event and also offers divisions for individual rowers at the junior, collegiate, and master’s levels. The YMCA will provide individual medals for first, second and third place in each division.
Requirements:
- All rowers have to be current members of the crew team.
- All teams have to be current members of CPSRA.
- Teams may enter more than one boat in each division.
- Entrance fee of $10 per rower.
