YMCA Crew Clinic
Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting July 8th
4:00 PM - 6:00 PM for Boys and Girls Grades 7 - 9
Join Stonington High School Crew Coach Ken Godfrey and learn the basic skills and techniques of rowing with a team. Participants will row in an 8-man shell. An incredible experience and opportunity!

YMCA Learn to Skull Clinics
Ages: 12 years and older
Back for a third year! The Learn To Skull Clinics are designed to teach youngsters, 12 and older, how to scull correctly and safely. Learn the exciting and unique sport/hobby of sculling with your friends. This camp will be instructed by many of the finest local scullers and crew coaches around. Campers will learn the very basics to more technical skills on the famous Alden 16 sculls. The camp is offered with the support of the Alden Ocean Shell Association. Novice scullers can prepare themselves to race in the "novice event" at the Mystic Weekend of
Rowings' Battle Between the Bridges in September 2008.

CGA Rowing Camps Summer 2008
CGA Rowing Camps, offering both high school varsity preparation and racing camps, provide a wide range of options. The camp experiences range from preparing high school novice rowers for competitive varsity seasons to supporting varsity athletes in their pursuit of future collegiate rowing opportunities.
The competition/racing camp is geared towards developing better technical and racing skills with a schedule that recognizes the need for summer employment.
The week long day camp is open to girls and boys ages 13-18 with zero to one year experience.
Summer 2008 Schedule Competition/Racing Camp: June 18 - August 10
Practice: Monday - Friday 5:30 - 7:30 AM
Races: Independence Day Regatta in Philadelphia, PA (7/4 - 7/6); US Rowing Club National Championships in Camden, NJ (7/16 - 7/20); Canadian Henley in St. Catherines, Ontario (8/5 - 8/10)
Yes! The Canadian Henley is back on the racing schedule this year. With Nationals moving back to Camden, the Canadian Henley will be feasible. However, only the top boats will be invited to participate this year. At all other competitions, each participant will be entered in at least two events. Please register by May 15th, so that reservations can be made and travel costs kept to a minimum.
Week Long Day Camp: July 11 - 15, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
This session is designed to teach the participant how to row and progress a novice rower to the varsity level. Each day consists of morning and afternoon water practice, video review and fun on land workouts. Lunch will be provided.
Costs*
Developmental Camp: $450.00 per session (includes lunch)
Competition Camp: $500**
*All camp participants will receive a CGA Rowing Camps 2006 T-Shirt
**All Regatta entry fees and travel expenses are an additional charge.
